New Patients
We treat you like family.
Your First Visit
During your first visit, you will be greeted by our patient care coordinator and introduced to the office through our Comprehensive Oral Examination. This detailed examination is the foundation of our relationship; therefore, we place a great deal of importance on this visit.
During this visit, we will determine what you value most with your oral health in order to help decide on the best options for your plan of care. After a complete review of your medical and dental health history and a review of any of your questions or concerns, we will begin a series of steps to gather a complete picture of your current oral health. This will include digital radiographs (x-rays), digital pictures, examination of your jaw joints (TMJ) and the associated muscles, examination of hard and soft tissues of the mouth, and an oral cancer screening. After this information is gathered and a preliminary assessment is made, all effort will be made to complete a comfortable dental cleaning at this appointment. Depending on the presence and severity of any periodontal disease (gum disease), a more thorough cleaning may be necessary and may need to be scheduled for another visit.
During this visit, you will get to meet Dr. Lewis as he attempts to provide a clear explanation of any treatment options you may have. We aim to guide you in making the best decisions for your oral health.
Our ultimate goal is to make this a relaxing and enjoyable experience! In order to provide you with a consistently comfortable experience, certain comfort items will be available to you.
